Why I made this

Three reasons. Learn to build — every part of this site is hand-made, and each rebuild teaches me something. Refine design — a live site is the best critique; things that look fine in a mockup fall apart in use. Log progress — a public record keeps the projects honest and the pace steady.

The style is borrowed deliberately: Swiss typographic discipline, an engineer's drawing conventions, black and white until the work earns colour. Press G to see the grid it all hangs on.
